Ian Vogel
Design Lead, MGS Publishing
Microsoft Corp.
A games industry veteran, Ian Vogel serves as the design lead for "Age of Empires Online" within Microsoft Game Studios. In this role, Vogel manages the game’s developers, designers and business partners to ensure "Age of Empires Online" provides a rich game experience for both the community and gamers as well as adheres to the franchise’s iconic legacy.
Before joining Microsoft, Vogel spent 11 years in game development holding various roles on such award-winning games as "BioShock," "Swat 4," "System Shock 2" and "Thief: The Dark Project."
Vogel received a bachelor of arts in film and English from Cornell University.
Although he is a long time PC gamer, Vogel is also an avid fan of console games. He even had one of his band’s songs featured on the first installment of "Guitar Hero." Much to their surprise, the song is now part of the now iconic "Guitar Hero" franchise.
Chris Taylor
CEO and Creative Director, Gas Powered Games
For the past 20 years, Chris Taylor has been one of the game industry’s most imaginative and dynamic visionaries. The creator of the first true next-generation RTS game, Total Annihilation, Taylor enjoys an industry-wide reputation as an innovator who is able to push both technology and gameplay to their limits.
Taylor founded Gas Powered Games in 1998, where he currently serves as the CEO and Creative Director. To date, GPG has released multiple Dungeon Siege titles; the acclaimed Supreme Commander and its expansion, Forged Alliance; and the innovative action/RTS hybrid Demigod.
